This attractive town in eastern Asturias, capital of the council of the same name, is very famous for two irrevocable and unrepeatable landmarks: for being the enclave where the prehistoric Tito Bustillo Cave is located, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its importance of paintings, engravings and other manifestations of rock art. Also, 250 meters from the entrance of this cave, is the «Tito Bustillo» Rock Art Center, with a permanent exhibition on this invaluable artistic ensemble.

And as if this were not enough, Ribadesella / Ribeseya is the goal of one of the best-known canoe races in the world, the International Descent of the Sella, which is held every year on the first Saturday in August, and which is the only Asturian festival declared of International Tourist Interest.
